After she discovered her passion for baking under the tutelage of a pastry Chef in Paris, Orly received her formal patisserie training from the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute in Sydney, Australia. After completing her studies, Orly spent several years developing and perfecting a range of gluten free flour blends and recipes. The creation of Blends by Orly Gluten Free Flour is inspired by the international pastries and desserts that she discovered during her travels and time living abroad in Europe and Australia.
Orly does not adhere to a gluten free diet. Orly's interest in gluten free cooking and baking is inspired by her husband, who was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2007. The abrupt switch to a strict gluten free diet can be a traumatic transition for individuals and their families. Orly chose to make the best of the situation and started to develop gluten free versions of his favorite cakes, breads and pastries that the whole family could enjoy together.
Orly has a Bachelors of Science in Communications and Media studies from NYU. She is a trained vocalist and pianist, and has always dreamed of being the singing voice of Disney's next princess. She discovered that her creative voice that was impassioned by music also became inspired by gluten free baking.
